Key Responsibilities:
Communicate with courts to resolve citations, violations, and compliance requirements.
Hire and coordinate with attorneys to represent the company and drivers as needed.
Investigate and resolve violations affecting company and driver records.
Gather and submit supporting documentation to contest or mitigate violations.
Prepare and file required legal and regulatory documents, including DATAQ filings and other required filings.
Maintain detailed and organized records of all legal actions, court proceedings, and compliance-related correspondence.
Provide guidance and assistance to drivers regarding their records and legal matters.
Schedule meetings, manage correspondence, and perform general administrative tasks related to legal operations.
Develop comprehensive corrective action plans for companies found out of compliance with FMCSA regulations.
Requirements:
High level knowledge and practical application of the English and Russian languages
Experience as a Legal Assistant, Safety Officer / Manager, or in a similar role (experience in the trucking or logistics industry is a plus).
Understanding of legal and compliance processes, particularly as they pertain to transportation and logistics.
Knowledge of regulatory filings such as DATAQ is preferred.
