AAR Japan is a non-profit organization, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. We have been working to respond to crises of conflict, natural disasters or community development in over 15 countries by supporting refugees, people with disabilities, or disadvantaged populations since 1979.
Since March 2022, AAR Japan has been working to support Ukrainian Refugees staying in Moldova and Moldovan citizens by implementing cross-sectoral projects on basic needs, food security, protection and health in Chisinau and rural areas with local partners.
The project's overall goal is to contribute to building a protective environment for refugees and the local community by addressing their health issues, protection risks, their vulnerabilities and facilitating durable solutions in their interest.
AAR Japan is looking for Project Assistant whose main duty station will be in Chisinau, Moldova.
Work Location: Office in Chișinău, Moldova
Salary: 800 Euro and can be increased depending on your education background and work experience in accordance with AAR Japan's Terms of Employment for National staff
Working hours: Full-time (8 hours).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Officer Clerk:
- Assist in office management and purchases processing of AAR Japan activities center on daily basis
- Clerical work such as office bills follow up and bills payment.
- Support HR/Admin officer and Finance officer in filing documents and correspondences
- Support in logistical arrangements of staff travel (accommodation and transportation etc.)
- Translation and interpretation between English/Russian and local languages of Moldova
- Maintenance of the office and equipment.
Essential:
- High school degree or at least one year of work experience in a related field.
- Good command of spoken and written Romanian, Russian and English.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and multi-cultural work environment sometimes under pressure.
- Strong commitment to humanitarian principles
- Strong communication skills with colleagues and the beneficiaries
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Willingness to learn new things
Essential:
- High school degree or at least one year of work experience in a related field.
- Good PC literacy.Knowledge of Microsoft products.
- Fluency in spoken and written Romanian, Russian and English
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and multi-cultural work environment sometimes under pressure.
- Strong commitment to humanitarian principles
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Willingness to learn new things
