VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The International Republican Institute (IRI) is currently recruiting a Program Associate (PA) for its office in Chisinau, Moldova. The PA position provides a full range of administrative and programmatic support for all IRI’s programs in Moldova.

IRI is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to advancing democracy worldwide. Since 2003, IRI has been active in Moldova, supporting the development of parliament, political parties, civil society, local governments and an active, engaged society.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in administration, political science, international relations, or related field.
- At least two (2) years professional experience.
- Fluent in English, Romanian and Russian.
- Knowledge of Gagauz and/or Bulgarian is welcomed.
- Travel ability between Chisinau and Gagauzia/Taraclia
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a multi-task environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365; knowledge of ICT tools and SharePoint desirable.
Primary Function and Responsibilities:
- Designing and conducting training series. This will include preparing a training plan and developing necessary tools as well as facilitating the learning process by conducting training sessions;
- Project management including budgeting, reporting and ensuring compliance with donor and internal financial rules and processes;
- Managing logistical details for IRI events. This will include regular communication with participants;
- Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on political developments in the country;
- Contributing to the drafting of proposals
- Maintaining consistent and productive communication with the Washington, DC headquarters and local implementing partners.
- Building strong working relationships with IRI’s partners and on-the-ground stakeholders;
- Representing IRI at meetings and roundtables and reporting on discussions;
- Supporting events and activities of the program team on request of supervisors.
- Providing efficient and timely action on administrative matters.
- Preparing correspondence and program outreach materials.
- Collaborate with IRI Washington D.C. staff upon necessity on program activities.
- Organize and maintain records for all contracts and subawards.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and subaward agreements with partners as necessary for project implementation. - Stay apprised of any changes in procurement and accounting policies and share relevant information with program staff. Provide program staff with relevant information on subaward and contracting mechanisms available to them.
- Supporting events and activities of the program team on request of supervisors.
- Providing efficient and timely action on administrative matters.
- Preparing correspondence and program outreach materials.
- Coordinating travel arrangements and logistics for staff and trainers.
- Interpreting/translating from English to Romanian/Russian and vice versa in official meeting and through written correspondence.
- Conducting research on assigned topics.
